Threaded Inserts
Threadserts (thread-serts) sometimes referred to as threaded inserts or threaded bushings are used to place strong permanent threads in thin materials. Threadserts provide an inexpensive way to prepare material with threads and allow them to accept a bolt or a screw. The finished product leaves a neat and clean appearance. Commonly used in fiberglass, metal, and plastic. A pneumatic rivet nut / thread sert (setter) tool is used for crimping the nut in place to complete the installation.
